As an organization we teach the precepts of communism and organizing as a matter of course for potential new members. When you begin the process with us we will meet you and as soon as we can, get you into a reading group. You’ll be reading several seminal communist works and discussing them weekly with a small cadre of other new members and experienced full members of the organization. After or during this trial period if it seems to not be a good fit you are under no commitment but we think the more you learn, the more interested you’ll be.

Visit the syllabus page link under resources above to see what you will be reading. If you have read some of these already, great! It will be a fantastic opportunity to revisit them and make sure we all mutually understand these lessons. The importance of learning in an environment where questions be answered by knowledgeable Marxists can’t be overstated.

Additionally, another portion of your work will be “Mass Work” where you can expect to get involved in our actual community to organize. The primary arm of which is Richmond Tenants Defense Council or RTDC, an organization which works hard to deal with injustice perpetrated by slumlords against our community. If you’d like to learn more please feel free to visit the link and learn more about that.

If you haven’t had a chance to read our Points of Unity please take a quick moment to do so. We are more than happy to explain anything you’re confused about, or for which you’d like more context. It is not immutable and addendums can and have been added but these are our core values.

If all that sounds good please fill out the form below and we’ll get you going!
